Are We All World Changers?
I remember in high school people telling me that my friends and I were going to make a real difference.
After graduating, I was and still can be so convinced that our lives are going to change the world, make a huge impact, make a change that would be broadcasted, or instigate a humanitarian movement.
And sure, maybe, who knows? Maybe that WILL be the case for me or for friends of mine. I don’t know.
What I DO know is that not every person mentioned in the Bible is a WORLD changer. Not everyone in history was a world changer. In fact, out of the many people on the planet throughout every time in history, the WORLD changers are limited.
We’re not all called to be world changers. Maybe I’m NOT called to be a world changer, and that’s okay.
We are called to, however, affect LIVES.
What God Wants From You Today
What should I major in? Who should I marry? Should I take this job? Should I move to this place? What does my future hold? What passions should I pursue?
And these big purpose questions are VALID, but I believe that focusing on the little purpose is just as important – and even help us to find the answers or be led to our big purposes questions.
Stepping into the things that Jesus has for us in the day to day is a step by step map to the bigger things He has for us.
Let’s take a step in from your BIG overall purpose and zoom in, focus and capture what’s there for us today.
Finding Purpose In School
To all our friends going back to school, here’s your personal reminder. There is purpose in this season. This is a season for GROWTH: growth in your education, growth in your professional field, personal growth, growth in being impactful.
This season provides for new opportunities, for new friendships, for deep questions, for new experiences.
It’s a LOT of potential growth to juggle. So how do we go into school – whether it’s high school, college or so on – with the mentality and focus of PURPOSE.

5 Ways to Find Community
COMMUNITY. It’s been the topic of our insta all week long. We’ve blogged about it, posted about it and then we threw out an instagram poll.
We LOVE your vulnerability and raw responses, but we noticed something MAJOR. Most of our poll takers said they don’t feel like they have a SOLID community.
We believe that there is such purpose in community and that a solid community can help build and encourage us in our purposes, so Becca and I collaborated on some of our thoughts on just how to bring about and foster community.
Embracing Your Community
I used to think that the only way I could find my purpose in life was if I figured it out all by myself.
Don’t get me wrong, some of that needs to be hashed out personally between Jesus and I, but I’ve come to the beautiful realization that He created us for community.
I’ve found way more purpose than I ever would have imagined in these past months just because of who I decided to surround myself with: passionate Jesus followers who live a life defined by the purposes and GOOD things He has for us by being aware of its personal and corporate effects.
A life without community is simply not how God intended us to live.
