For Haman, it seems like the highest point in his life and career (11-14). He was recently promoted, his plan to destroy his enemy and his enemy’s people is succeeding, and the queen likes him.

But let’s not forget that the Lord is not for the proud, and He defends His poeple. But before we get there, let’s recognize that we need to DROP PRIDE.

The same pride in us is the same pride in Haman, and pride ruins.

Pride leads to unwise choices. Pride listens to yes-men (Haman had his own). Pride looks highly at self. Pride looks at others as lowly and indebted. Pride comes before the fall.
