Even when we don’t feel like it, do good. Do good, even when you feel justified to not.
In this passage we see that Mordecai, Esther’s cousin, discovers a plot to kill the king.
Now, like with every sin or crime, often people feel justified in their cause. And, as someone who’s cousin was forcibly taken by the king to compete to be his new wife, Mordecai could have been bitter enough to keep his mouth shut and felt justified to do so.
But Mordecai did good. Mordecai honored his leaders. Mordecai saved a life. Even without being praised for it (just yet), Mordecai did good.
Even when we don’t feel like it, do good.
